Contrary to the norm, I don't use Social Sites as much as I should have. The most effective method of creating awareness to my blog is simply through blog commenting that adds value to the conversation. Without question, Social sites are great but the bounce rates are pretty high if you ask me.

Nice article! I find, as a personal blogger, that leaving comments is the best way to get new people to visit, and being active on sites like Mom Bloggers Club is second. I am also trying to target Kirtsy and Mom Blog Network for getting my stuff "voted on" rather than Digg or SU right now. Thanks!
